With "The Last Supper" as a visual reference, Jesus and the Twelve Apostles were recreated in fluid, abstract shapes with as little detail as possible. The goal of this piece was to really sit on the fence between recognizable and unrecognizable. The intention was to still maintain a deliberate, independent look and feel even if the viewer didn't see the allusion to Da Vinci. Jesus, being the central figure of the image, is the only one with a distinct face.
